This web header comes from a collection of photos I took in the past two weeks in the small village of Kozarsko in the county of Pazardzhik, Bulgaria.

The idea for this wood block web header comes from the fact that a family member has a wood cutting business and would like me to build them a web site so I took a series of photos that would support this venture.

This wood block web header could be a great addition to any number of site types, it doesnt just have to be those of a wood cutting business.

Todays offering is a money web header. The whole web header is made up of coins and bank notes from around the world that have had a gradient of different shades of green burned into the image.

British Parachute Regiment Web Header

Today is a wonderful black and white British parachute regiment badge situated on a black and white background.

The actual badge image is taken from a tattoo of the badge I have on my upper right arm which was then cut out using software and put onto a gradient black and white background as shown below.

This parachute regiment web header is my favourite of all the web headers I have created so far and I would love to see it used on a website.

Flower Power

Flower power is the web header for today, this is a simple yet elegant web header I believe.

The flower is pink and replicated four times to achieve the image you see, the background is yellow in the centre fading to white on the outside. I tried to go for light pastel type colours to keep the elegant view that you see.

Tree Lights Web Header

Tree Lights was an inspiration that came to me while looking at a photo of a cathedral that had interesting lights situated on the road in front. These lights were like golden trees emiting a wonderful glow in front of the cathedral that sat in the dark night.

The web header looks almost like fireworks exploding in the night and brightening the sky.

I think this tree lights web header will make a great addition with some interesting light coloured wording that has a good font and design.

Blue Sky Web Header

Blue sky is the latest web header to hit the blog and its one I created a couple of days ago. I have this interest in water and in the sky as both are interesting as they change constantly.

This blue sky web header has a wonderful gradient moving from white to dark blue (right to left) this gradient is caused from the sun being over on the right behind the clouds that can be seen.

Double Flower Web Header

The web header today is of two flowers that I took a photo of while at Calke Abbey in Leicester two summers ago. At this time I wasnt thinking of a use for my flower pictures but now some of them are making great designs for plant life web headers.

Road To Nowhere Header

This web header invokes an image of someone walking off never to be seen again to me. It is actually a cropped version of a photo I had taken in the Rhodope mountains of Plovdiv on a very quite road in the middle of nowhere. The photo really struck me because all you see is this road disappearing into a mass of bush and trees.

This for me is a very thought provoking web header that I am sure many will find useful.

Icy Cube Web Header

This icy cube web header is interesting to say the least, but I do wonder how it could be effectively used as a web header, this I will leave to one of you to decide.

It didnt actually take me long to create this one, I would say less than five minutes but I am very happy with the results as it really is an eye catching piece.

Murple Purple Web Header

Murple Purple is something I have been working on today.

The idea for a purple web header came from the purple tulips I had got my wife a week ago for Valentines (I say purple they started pink but changed to purple!).

The textured form is to give the web header a more interesting appearance so it has a life of its own.

Real Estate Web Header

This post is of a real estate web header. To make this header I climbed one of the foot hills of the Rhodope mountains in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Once at the top of the hill I took a photo of the town below then cropped and sized the image to what it is below.

I like the way the houses cascade from right to left and front to back. I think this would make a nice web header for any web site about overseas properties.

Flowering Bee

Following from the bee header I just posted I wanted to share this flowering bee web header with you. This web header is an artistic (I feel I did an artistic job!) version of the actual plant and bee that I took a photo of with a fading green to white back ground.

This really came out well for me I feel, it actually ended up better than I had expected so I am very happy with the result.

The Bee

The bee was the inspiration of a photo I took two summer ago of a bee on a dandelion while at an old stately home here in the UK. I was thinking of this photo today and thought it would make a nice addition to a web banner for those who have an insect, garden or honey related site.

Ill will be having a few plant, fauna and animal related banners coming up soon.

Red Travel and History

Todays header might not be to everyones taste, its actually not quite what I had in mind for a history and travel header but hey what can I say.

The idea was to have a fading red to white header with travel images that could also pass as those used in history too. The images are a Roman theatre and a cathedral (they happen to be in Bulgaria).

I wasn't sure about this header at first but its growing on me, I hope that someone out there will appreciate it.

Clouds Above

I created this cloudy web header a month or so ago, it was very simple to make but I think has a nice feel and look to it.

This cloudy web header is simply a picture of the sky I had took which was then blown up and cut into the size and shape required for a web header!

Russian Clothing

This web header is actually the outcome of playing around with the "Hero of the Soviet Union" Medal, a medal that was of the highest order in the Soviet Union and awarded to just over twelve thousand civillians and military personnel. I love the texture of the medals ribbon and like the way the gold star has been struck.

By altering the medal and ribbon I have made it look like a gold star stud on old cordrey type material which I feel is quite effective. I hope you like this header.

Snow Texture

Today I have a snow textured header. This is a close up of a snowball...its as simple as that.

Okay so my neighbours made a large snow ball and I decided to take an extreme close up with my camera and use this as a textured web header, as usual it doesnt take much to make an interesting web header that can be manipulated to make something special.

Marble Effect Header

Today I offer a marble effect header. This free header is actually a photo of the wall in my back yard where I have inverted the image. The marble looking lines are where cracks have appeared in the concrete of the wall over time because of the weather. The black spots are actually snow flakes falling in front of the wall at the time that show as black because they are inverted.

My inspiration for this header comes from the fact that there is alot of potential to create images from simple items and structures that you come across if you know how to manipulate what you have photographed into something totally different.

Why am I creating free web headers?

Well I feel that there is too much money for old rope on the Internet and that we should all benefit from getting things for free where possible, so for this reason I am creating web headers for FREE to save as many people a few pennies as possible.

Dove of Hope Header

For my first header I am going to give my dove of hope web header.

This header was the brainchild of someone who contacted me after receiving a few free headers from my Squidoo web headers page.

It only took me about ten minutes to create this header but I was so happy with the result, it really does give a sense of hope and happiness.
